If you're looking for music lessons in Georgetown Ontario you've come to the right place! The Academy of Music has been providing quality music
lessons since 1996. We offer lessons on piano, guitar, voice, violin, viola, fiddle, ukulele, mandolin, drums, and preschool piano.
The Academy of Music is also the proud home of the Georgetown Celtic Fiddle orchestra.

Students move through carefully structured lessons to help make sure they
reach their full potential in music. Consistency in music lessons ensure
that the student learns all the aspects of music in a logical progression. Proper technique, hand positioning, and
understanding written music are just a few of the benefits of following a structured lesson program.
2) Optional Music Examinations
The Academy of Music offers music examination two times per
year. These examinations ensure that our students are fully prepared to go to
the next level and are essential to the long term success of the music
student.
3) Piano, Guitar, Voice, Violin, Viola, Celtic Fiddle, Mandolin, Ukulele, Bass, and Drums,
all in one location.
The Academy is the only music school in Georgetown Ontario to offer music lessons on all 10 of the most popular instruments: Piano,
Electric & Acoustic Guitar, Voice, Violin, Viola, Celtic Fiddle, Mandolin, Ukulele, Bass Guitar, and
Drum set.
4) Our
highly qualified teaching staff.
All of our music teachers have University training, RCM, or over 10 years of professional performance experience. The main focus of our teachers is help you set personal musical
goals and to work towards achieving them. In
addition to their qualifications our teachers have warm personalities, and are very friendly and dedicated to teaching you
the style of music that you want to learn in your music lesson.

Take a walk through our school and you'll see children & adults of all ages experiencing the joy of
music. In fact, we have many students in their 70's learning music for the first time.

7) Music Lesson Scholarships
Music lesson scholarships are awarded every year to
children referred to us by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton. The
Children take private music lessons on the instrument of their choice at no
cost to them. The Scholarship Program provides about $6000 worth of music lessons annually. Financial support comes from
the Academy of Music and the Georgetown/Oakville Celtic Fiddle Orchestras.
8) Fully stocked lesson studios
Our rooms are stocked with
everything you need for lessons, including guitar amps, drum sets, keyboards,
pianos and more. All you need to bring is your instrument. We have invested
thousands of dollars on our studio to be sure we have everything you need to
learn music effectively.
9) Regular performance opportunities
The increased confidence you get from
performing cannot be achieved anywhere else. Not to mention the benefits of
working towards a specific goal.
We have a minimum of 2 optional, low pressure concerts every year
designed to give students a comfortable outlet to showcase their talents.
10) Convenient location
The Academy of Music in Georgetown is conveniently located on
Guelph Street just East of Tim Horton`s (across from Canadian Tire). Due to our
central location our school is convenient for residents of North and South

11) Month to Month
lessons.
The Academy does not require full semester
registration for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month
basis.
If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as
we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a
long term contract.
